Notes: Separate male and female flowers are borne on different plants. Calyces of male flowers are smaller and ten-veined, those of female flowers are twenty-veined. On sunny days flowers more open and fragrant by evening. White campion considered a noxious weed in some parts of the United States. Silene latifolia hybridizes with Silene dioica.
