About me

I started taking an interest in flora and fauna after moving to the Alpujarras in southern Spain in 2001. Taking photographs became a great help in identifying flowers and butterflies that I saw on our own terrain and walks in the area.

After a few years in the Netherlands we moved back to Spain in July 2018. Many photographs on this site are  taken in the Sierra Nevada, Picos de Europa and the Pyrenees. My aim is to capture plants in their natural environment and to convey the beauty of a flower, its habitat and its pollinators.
